Professional Philosophy & Commitment

My Philosophy

Good skin care contributes to overall
health and well-being. Daily use of
high quality, organic products combined
with regular professional services, produces real results you will see and enjoy.

  • As a skin care practitioner, ongoing education and training are vital to my passionate pursuit of providing you with the utmost experience in achieving healthy, beautiful skin and overall wellness.
  • Your facial with me will never be a transaction. You will never be made to feel like you are "being processed" as an appointment on my schedule. I believe in giving you my full attention and treating you with respect always. In the spa/beauty industry the word "client" is used and I feel that sounds like a business transaction -- attorneys and accountants have clients. To me, you are a guest in my treatment room.
  • Any esthetician can do a "product application." I do not merely apply product. My intent is to provide you with an actual treatment for your skin concerns while at the same time making your facial an enjoyable, relaxing experience.
  • Your safety and comfort will always be important to me. I uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in my treatment room.

As a Professional I

  • Take part in every local training session and master class offered by my product supplier
  • Take part in online learning opportunities
  • Attend industry trade shows where I can increase my awareness of what's happening in the spa industry, watch demonstrations, attend classes, and sample the newest developments in skin care
  • Regularly read skin care publications (Dermascope and Skin Deep, to name a couple) and subscribe to daily emails (such as Skin Inc.)
  • Network with fellow estheticians to share insights
  • Join and keep up with with various online groups (such as on Facebook) which are exclusively for skin care professionals
  • Maintain my annual memberships in professional organizations
  • Regularly visit other spas and have facials by other estheticians -- I consider this a form of continuing education through which I pick up on others' facial techniques and touch
  • Take time for myself to recharge and stay balanced, so I can give every guest my very best
